Mahindra brings new electric XUV to compete with Tata Nexon EV

Mahindra & Mahindra is desperate to bring electric cars to take on arch-rival Tata Motors. They have no answer to attract the attention of buyers by bringing new models one after another. This time the company is targeting the Mahindra XUV 3XO. The model was launched in the world of compact XUVs. This time the same car is being brought in an electric avatar. May be named – Mahindra XUV 3XO EV.

Mahindra XUV 3XO EV was recently spotted testing on Indian roads for the first time. This indicates that the car is launching soon. Reportedly, it will slot below the existing electric model XUV 400 in the company's lineup. The car is mainly brought to compete with the Tata Nexon EV.

Spy pictures show the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV wrapped in stunning camouflage. It is expected that several changes will be made to its design. To distinguish between ICE and EV models. Design features include LED daytime running lights. Apart from this, a new design grill, different look badging and bumper can be seen. Mahindra may also offer some exclusive colour schemes.

Incidentally, the XUV 400 has two battery options – 34.5 kWh and 39.5 kWh. Nevertheless, the XUV 3XO EV might come with a 34.5 kWh battery pack. So it is estimated to run 375 km on a full charge. Again, it can support both AC and DC charging. Mahindra is yet to reveal the launch timing of the XUV 3XO EV.
